Beijing Tong Ren Tang (TRT) is a time-honored brand in the traditional Chinese medicine business, founded in the eighth year of Kangxi emperor (1669 AD), during the Qing Dynasty (1644 -1911). By the first year of the Yongzheng emperor (1723 AD), TRT had been appointed medicine purveyor for the Qing imperial pharmacy. It served eight generations of Qing emperors over a 188-year period.
TRT people follow a commandment that was handed down from generation to generation -- no effort is spared, no matter how complicated the pharmaceutical procedure, and no scrimping on materials, no matter what the cost. Thanks to its unique formulae, top materials, skilled workmanship, and clear curative benefits, TRT enjoys prestige both in China and abroad, with products sold in more than 40 countries and regions.
TRT has three areas of business -- modern pharmaceuticals, a retail business, and medical services – and has 10 subsidiaries, two production bases, two institutes, and two centers, with two companies listed in China and abroad, and more than 800 retail stores in China, and more than two dozen joint-venture stores in 15 countries and regions.
TRT has been recognized by the China Federation of Industrial Economics, and the China Top Brand Strategy Promotion Committee, as one of 16 enterprises whose brands are expected to become famous globally.
