Space technology and its applications have advanced rapidly in recent years, which has been one of the most fascinating technical achievements of the human race during the last four decades of the 20th century. Numerous practical benefits from space technology will play a central role in international development.
To translate the recommendation of the United Nations Program on Space Applications (UN-PSA) into an operational program, Beihang University has initiated the master’s degree program on space technology applications (MASTA) especially for Asia-Pacific applicants in 2006.
MASTA can offer facilities and expertise in five research areas:
Remote Sensing and Geo-information System (RS&GIS)
Satellite Communications (SC)
Satellite Meteorology and Global Climate (SMGC) (delivered later)
Space and Atmospheric Sciences (SAC) (delivered later)
Space Project Management (SPM) (delivered later)
